Africa Inland Church Health Ministries (AICHM) is a department of Africa Inland Church-Kenya (AIC-K); AIC-K was registered in 1961 under the Society Act of Kenya (Rules for Associations, 1952 Registration under Article 5(2) of the Rules of Association). AIC-K consist of five (5) Departments Namely, AIC Health Ministries Department (AICHM), AIC Mission department, Bible Husema Broadcasting, Kijabe printing press and Child Care department, which are governed and operates autonomously, each department has its own board or council. Each department has clear mandate as embedded in AIC-K Constitution, additionally; each department has its own bylaws that governs their operations. AICHM as autonomous department; governance is vested in the Governing independent board (Church Health Council (CHC)). Africa Inland Church Health Ministries (AICHM) as department of the AIC-K oversees the running of health services across the country and humanitarian work, saving lives and building a better future for marginalized communities. AICHM delivers a broad spectrum of health, emergency relief, food security, child protection and short and long-term humanitarian development projects within Kenya. AICHM has professional structured operation governance in place that provides leadership and oversights to operations including projects implementation. Although our Vision, Mission and Core value is rooted in the Africa Inland Church faith AICHM extends its services to all people in need regardless of tribe, religion, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, political or social standpoint to help improve and sustain the well-being of humanity within families and communities, especially the most vulnerable. AICHM embrace an inclusive approach that consider every person matters, without leaving any one behind, and upholding Do no Harm Principle that is entrenched in AICHM policy. For over 60 years, AICHM has reached out pro-actively to develop strong partnerships with the Kenyan government both at National and County levels; humanitarian agencies and NGOs including UNHCR, UNICEF, BMZ through Johanniter International Assistance, BMZ through Action Medeor, BMZ through CBM International, USAID through AMREF, ERIKS development partners, Global fund -Kenya through Red Cross Society, GFFO through Johanniter International Assistance, GFFO through Malteser International, WAHAFA, CHAK, MEDS and others with a focus on preventive, promotive, curative healthcare services, community health education for healthcare providers, rehabilitative care for children with disabilities, sustainable livelihoods, relief humanitarian emergency response Anticipatory Action
